Katsumi Kinoshita

After working as a company employee in Tokyo for about 30 years, I moved to Okinawa in 2016. I’m an Uchina-Mu-Ku (a husband of a woman from Okinawa, in Okinawan dialect). After moving to Okinawa, I started working at a bicycle shop, which sparked my passion for cycling. On my days off, I explore various places across Okinawa by bike, seeking out beautiful scenery.

The charm of cycling in Okinawa lies in experiencing its nature with your whole body—intense sunlight, sea breezes, the coolness of shaded areas, and even sudden tropical showers. Okinawa offers a compact blend of nature, culture, and cuisine, allowing you to enjoy a variety of experiences efficiently in a single ride. It’s truly enjoyable! One of my recommended courses is the Naha Historical Ride. This route lets you explore the old and new traces of Naha city while referencing historical maps, making it a fascinating journey through time.
