Located in Kurume City, Fukuoka Prefecture, Sho Inn is an exclusive, private ryokan (traditional Japanese inn) with a sprawling 330-tsubo Japanese garden and a total property size of 70-tsubo. Built in 1971, this authentic Japanese-style house boasts a beautiful Japanese garden featuring a kare sansui (dry landscape garden) and a flowing waterfall. The garden is adorned with various trees and plants such as Japanese white pines, plum trees, maple trees, azaleas, and nandina. Next door, you'll find Uokoku, a restaurant established in 1972. Uokoku offers a wide range of Fukuoka delicacies, including eel and carp dishes (carp dishes require advance reservation), as well as local specialties like motsunabe (beef hot pot), mizutaki (chicken hot pot), and local chicken.
