Concept

Cycle Festa in Sakurajima is evolving from a traditional race event into a cycling experience that allows participants to fully immerse themselves in the great nature of Sakurajima. Known as one of Japan's most active volcanoes, Sakurajima offers breathtaking landscapes and the pulse of the earth that you can enjoy through cycling.

In the morning, a large-scale cycling event accommodating up to 300 participants will be held. It’s open to all—from beginners to experienced riders.

In the afternoon, the “CIK Fan Meeting” will feature an exciting demonstration by a professional BMX rider. Following the performance, a hands-on BMX experience session will be held. With guidance from pro riders and support from students of the National Institute of Fitness and Sports in Kanoya, even beginners can enjoy BMX safely.

There will also be a test ride event featuring E-bikes from Cannondale, GIANT, and MERIDA, as well as road bikes from Cannondale and others. E-bikes with electric assist make it easy and comfortable for beginners to ride. The test rides will be conducted under the supervision of the cycling team from the National Institute of Fitness and Sports in Kanoya, ensuring a safe experience for all participants.
