From the Takamai Mountain Observation Deck, you can enjoy panoramic views of the Ariake Sea, Unzen, and even as far as Aso. It is also the starting point of the Kyushu Nature Trail's Kankai Alps course, where you can enjoy a refreshing cycling experience while feeling the sea breeze.

Shimo-Oto no Hana Lighthouse The "Shimo-Oto no Hana Lighthouse" is the only uniquely designed lighthouse in Amakusa. With its church-like design, the lighthouse reflects the Nanban culture that has been passed down in the Amakusa region. Its distinctive shape harmonizes beautifully with the sky and sea of Amakusa. The surrounding area is developed into a park, where the pleasant sea breeze makes pedaling feel effortless. It is a beloved resting place for both locals and tourists.

Dragon Foot Bath Why not relax and unwind in the "Dragon Foot Bath" at Matsushima Onsen? While soaking your feet, you can enjoy views of the Amakusa Gokyo's 5th bridge at this hidden spot in Aitsu Port. The ceiling of the bath is decorated with the legend of the dragon that has been passed down in Matsushima in the local Amakusa dialect. Feel the sea breeze and refresh both your body and mind.
